back! Sign up for the Virtual Run and run the race course between March
28 and April 4, submit copy of your uploaded GPS time results to You will receive all the incredible swag
including race shirt, finisher medal and finishers gift! Awards will
also be given to top 3 male and top 3 female virtual runners.

On Friday, April 3 we will present our first running science symposium, to be known as “RUNNER’S CONNECT – A DISCUSSION FOR RUNNERS, BY RUNNERS”.
Our friends from the brick and runabout sports – Roanoke will be
presenting two tech sessions on popular running subjects. Following tec sessions, there will be a meet & mingle time followed by a pasta
dinner and brief after dinner talk/Q&A. Details to come. The
segments will be ala carte in case you cannot attend all. We are over
the moon excited to announce that we will be joined at the sessions by
our after dinner speaker. None other than BART YASSO! He is retired from Runner’s World magazine where he served for many years as their “Chief
Running Officer”. Bart has run and spoken all over the world. Many
marathoners know him as the inventor of the famous Yasso 800s marathon
time predictor workout. Yasso is known around the running community as
“the mayor of running”! You will love hearing him share humorous and
serious stories about his lifetime of running. He will be participating
in race festivities throughout the weekend. More to come on Mr. Yasso as our plans come together. The symposium will be free to runners with a nominal charge for the pasta dinner. This event is made possible by the support of RunAbout sports- Roanoke, the Brick Running & Tri store as well as several generous corporate/institutional sponsors to be named as we complete our plans.

The Martinsville Half Marathon & 5K is a family friendly event! Spectators and cheering sections are offered along the way!
